Position Summary

The business seeks a Business Analyst to join its FX Product Management team to enhance existing platforms and drive its FX offering through new initiatives. This is a technical role that is business driven and client facing, and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to work closely with our clients and business teams to define the functional specifications and provide detail to the internal departments across the organisation. You will investigate opportunities, select and prioritise functionality then drive the development of the product within the organisation by providing analysis and producing high detailed specifications.  The successful candidate will work across a range of FX platforms and technologies including STP, confirmations and trading.

Duties & Accountabilities

• Put together detailed functional specifications that define the required workflows, logic and functionality • Prioritize platform enhancements and design new functional solutions for the FX platforms • Meet with business teams and clients to gather business requirements • Provide guidance internally to development to build and deliver the product • Provide guidance to internal testing and UAT teams with respect to the creation of test plans and scripts • Educate the Sales, Account Management and Operations teams on new functionality and workflows, and the expected needs to support these

Education and experience

  • Graduate – Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent 
  • Preferable experience as a Product Manager/Business Analyst in a professional capacity 
  • Prior Financial Services IT experience is a must 
  • Strong working knowledge of requirements elicitation, structured analysis, stakeholder management, use case definition and other Business Analysis techniques
  • OTC Derivatives knowledge – specifically FX
  • FX Cash and FX Options knowledge, including post execution trade processing experience
  • Strong understanding of technology, and its use in achieving STP in the financial services industry
  • Experience of FpML. A previous knowledge of programming will be considered in its place 
  • Experience in the financial markets 
  • An understanding of financial derivatives terms and principals is required for the role • Ability to interact with external stakeholders. 
  • No direct people management experience is required. However, the candidate must have a track record of leading product development with a diverse group of global contributors
