IT Risk Consultant - Leading Financial Institution

The role accountabilities will include and not limited to:

  • Support technology in the development of Risk based analytics
  • Ensure that 1st line IT risk controls are in place and fit for purpose
  • Develop and maintain IT & information policies, standards and guidelines and ensure these are embedded
  • Provide reports
  • Work with senior stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness
  • Promote Risk awareness in the organisation
  • Maintain effective IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans
  • Support technology teams with Incidents and make sure reported and closed
  • Ensure exceptions to policies are recorded and managed
  • Support compliance and due diligence reviews

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years' experience
  • Must come from an IT audit or compliance background preferably from a Financial Institution
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of using complex data structures
  • Ability to present complex concepts and results in a way that is clear and concise and that will be easily understood by all audiences.
  • Ability to make recommendations based on analytic results
