Principal Engineer / Architect - Scala, architecture, event sourcing, - up to £130,000 base - remote default
Working with a leading energy tech company here in London using technology to do good for the climate with a plan to reach zero carbon living and that's the whole companies purpose.
You would be working to adapt the existing platform which supports their UK energy supply business (B2B product). This platform has been built with scale and technical quality in mind, as the first real-time energy system created using functional programming (mainly Scala with some Clojure) and event sourcing (mainly Kafka). Looking to transform their product and scale internationally, starting with a focus on France.
This role is for a senior technical leader (hands-on engineering), driving the platform international strategy to deliver on a long term plan and do some heavy lifting to ensure the best architectural decisions are made across the board. You'll be responsible for designing and planning a greenfield architecture for the international pipeline, with support from an existing world-class engineering team. YOU have the freedom to create what is best for the architecture and international expansion alongside a leadership team including product, delivery and design!
