Service Introduction Manager

Our client, a leading financial institution, is currently looking for a Service Introduction Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of operational readiness for new or changed IT and technology services, ensuring operational teams are engaged in the early life stage of projects and are using standard predefined Operational Acceptance Criteria (OAC). This is an opportunity to take ownership for oversight and governance of IT change across both software and infrastructure deliveries.


Key Responsibilities


  • Effective oversight of SDLC related IT changes to services impacting Operational IT teams
  • Development and maintenance of a common operational acceptance framework and standard
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with stakeholders
  • Establish effective process controls and disciplines
  • Provide process for knowledge transfer and decision support
  • Proactive management of resources
  • Ensure early engagement in project delivery life-cycle
  • Provide assurance of the quality of the new or changed IT service
  • Establish new management information systems, tools, process and measurement methods to support service transition & operational acceptance


Key Skills and Experience


  • 5+ years' experience in a similar Service Introduction/Transition role
  • In depth Service Management knowledge across multiple disciplines
  • Proven understanding and ability to work within ITIL, Agile & Prince2 frameworks
  • Experience integrating DevOps and Service Management culture and processes beneficial but not essential
  • Vision, drive, but also a completer/finisher
  • A good understanding of risk and control
  • Strong problem solving and decision making
